Experience an unforgettable moonlit kayak adventure through the mysterious Drowned Forest of New Caledonia’s Great South!
Since 1994, Aventure Pulsion has been inviting nature lovers and curious adventurers to experience something truly unique — a guided full moon kayak tour through the mystical Drowned Forest of Lake Yaté, located in the Blue River Provincial Park.
This 4-hour excursion includes around 2 hours of paddling under the silver light of the moon, in an atmosphere that’s both peaceful and enchanting. The evening begins at the park entrance, where your guide will lead you to the campsite to enjoy your picnic while waiting for the moonrise.
After a safety briefing and an overview of the route, it’s time to set off across the calm waters, weaving between the submerged tree trunks glowing in the moonlight. A midway break allows you to soak in the magic of the setting, before returning to share a warm mulled wine by the fire.
You can also camp overnight on-site (with toilets and a faré shelter available) to extend your stay and explore the park the next day.
Meeting point: at the entrance of Blue River Provincial Park, according to your scheduled meeting time.
Equipment provided: kayaks, life jackets, paddles and waterproof barrels.
What to bring: closed shoes, backpack, one headlamp for two people, windbreaker, towel and change of clothes, drinking water and a picnic to enjoy before departure.
