6 to 8-hour guided tour of Blue River Provincial Park, departure at 7:30am. Discover unique landscapes, endemic flora and fauna, with several iconic stops.
Set off for a full day of discovery from Mont-Dore. First stop at local bakeries for a glimpse of everyday Caledonian life, before heading to Blue River Provincial Park.
Along the way, you will discover:
- The great Kaori, a millennial witness to the island’s history
- Iconic wildlife, including the cagou, depending on its mood
- The sacred houp forest and the mysterious drowned forest
- The mining maquis and their endemic plants, including fascinating carnivorous species (nepenthes, drosera)
- Geological curiosities such as chrome and iron oxide rocks
- The Park House and its story
The circuit continues to the Mont-Dore Fountain, set between sea and mountain. The day also includes a lunch stop in an idyllic setting, for a peaceful break in the heart of nature.
