A small beach in the extreme south on the island of Mouli, from where in good weather you can see New Caledonia’s main island, Grande Terre.
After the Mouli tribal village, the small road goes south between coconut groves and traditional fields. At the very end, the road opens out onto the small beach of Hwakaiö which offers a view of the first isle of the Southern Pleiades (Gece) and on the horizon is Grande Terre. The beach is quiet and lined with sharp coral, a spot that is perfect for sunsets.
