Ideal for enjoying the sunsets, Mont Vénus is also a bucolic setting between multicoloured butterflies and freshly planted young trees. Located on 4.5 hectares of municipal land, a path laid out with stairs allows walkers to enter the dry forest. The trail also offers many viewpoints over Nouméa.
"It's a very rich place considering that we are in an urban environment. Some species have disappeared, but we make discoveries regularly,” says a volunteer from the Dry Forest Association of Mont-Vénus.
