  • This trail is suitable for the whole family and has information boards to help you recognise the different bird songs!

  • This 3.1 km trail takes 1 hour 15 minutes to complete and is quite easy. It starts with a 170-metre-long wooden platform that is accessible to people with disabilities. The walk continues on a trail through part of the rainforest under the shade of the tree ferns. A short climb takes you up to the pine tree area (marker no. 2). A wide, gently sloping track takes you back to the start.

  • Getting there
    From Nouméa, take the R.T. 1 heading north-west. Pass the village of La Foa. Turn right towards Canala on the R.P.5. Follow it for about 1.25 km and then turn off towards the village of Farino. Pass the town hall heading north-west and then turn right after 220 m (V.U.2). Head down into the Farino River Valley. After 550m, turn right on the bridge (R.M.22) and return to the PGF entrance (good earth track).
