3 rue Frédéric Surleau, Centre-Ville, 98849 Nouméa
This historic monument in the centre of Nouméa is one of the city’s must-see attractions.
Dominating the city and overlooking the bay, the cathedral—whose architecture is reminiscent of some Latin American churches—has been listed as a historic monument since 1992. Once inside, some of the building's most remarkable features include the choir's tamanu woodwork, the pulpit, the chapels and the giant fonts.
