At Wedrumel you can discover the largest underground cave in Lifou.
It takes about ten minutes to walk to the entrance of a huge underground cave, where the ancients took refuge at the time of the tribal wars. You can walk about 1 km into its depths and discover on the way the hall of the warriors, the various cathedrals decorated with stalagmites and crystallized stalactites, as well as many small underground water holes. Reserved for good walkers the path inside the cave is fairly challenging. Duration of the hike: about three hours.
