The guest accommodation at La Cabane de la Vallée is right next to the Dumbéa River, a 30-minute drive from Nouméa. It comprises 2 wooden chalets in the heart of the forest with a suspended terrace, from which you can see the mountain and native birds. Each chalet has a double bed (with the option of adding an extra mattress for 1 or 2 people), tea and coffee facilities, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle and crockery.
The outdoor ablutions block (with hot shower) for the first cabin is located 10 m down the hill and the second chalet has its own shower room.
You can really get away from it all in this peaceful natural setting. It’s also an ideal starting point for walks by the river and the GR Sud trail that connects Dumbéa Park with Prony.
Your host Christine will be delighted to deliver a continental breakfast to your room before you arrive and/or prepare you a home-made dinner and serve it in your accommodation. You may also be tempted by her raclette and stone grill set dinner menus, which you can enjoy on your peaceful terrace.
