New Caledonia’s iconic cultural centre was designed by Renzo Piano.
It’s the perfect place to find out all about Kanak culture. Tjibaou Cultural Centre (CCT) is set on 8 hectares of land and will immerse you in the heart of Melanesian traditions and customs. Designed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano, the centre holds exhibitions throughout the year and also boasts a performance space used by many artists every year. The CCT’s objective is to collect, showcase and promote Kanak culture.
It's a cultural creation and meeting space with:

- A museum
- A performance space
- A library
- A shop
